First and foremost, my husband is my hero. You wouldn't believe how awesome he is to me. He's there for me no matter what happens, good or bad. Sometimes he doesn't tell me what I want to hear, but he's always honest and loves me completely unconditionally.
Secondly, my kids are my heroes. They are beacons in this life of how wonderful this world can truly be if we all just keep trying.
Lastly, but not least, YOU are my heroes. Those of you that always give me words of encouragement, comment honestly on my work, and hug me through the 'net, are my heroes. You make my life more wonderful just because I know you are here.

brokenboulevardHeroes surround us even better than Dolby Systems. Among other features, they nurture our spirits through the path of life; allow our steps to turn into something meaningful for each of us and to our future; powder us with beauty-dust and ease the pain of misunderstanding, rejection and despair. They are here to help us grow better, together, with love. They do so, much of the times, without having the self-awareness of their power and its reach; without knowing they are meaningful and helpful to someone.
They give without asking something in return, they are saviours and, sometimes, martyrs; they are inspiring and through that they save you, either from boredom or from a life you dont want for yourself.
They can be anybody or anything: a thought, a book, a cat, a friend, a teacher, a fire-fighter, a soldier, a writer, an artist, a school-bus driver, an actor, a mountain-hiker, a comedian, a survivor, parents (yours or anybodys), a comics character, a deviant
You get the picture already!
I think everyones familiarized with the saying: A Hero doesnt need to have superpowers to be one! That, in fact, its not what he needs to have, but what he needs to be!
Copied directly from the description worded by ^Helewidis of this deviation. Go give `brokenboulevard and ^Helewidis some love for this awesome reminder that heroes are all around us.
EDIT: Go read and fave this article. I think it's important for ALL of us. [link]
