Description
This is the Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. It was commissioned by then General George Washington. It is believed that Henry Wadsworth Longfellow sat here looking out at another lighthouse pictured here Sail with Me when he wrote the poem The Lighthouse.
